27%
Chardonnay, 25% Viognier, 25% Scheurebe and 23% Semillon, primarily from Napa
County. |
|
Grapes
were harvested at an average 24.0° Brix, with Chardonnay and Viognier barrel
fermented and aged 8 months in French oak, and Scheurebe and Semillon fermented
in stainless steel tanks and held 8 months in German oak ovals. The two lots
were then blended and bottled in September, 2001. |
Similar
to an Alsatian white wine, this blend of four different varieties offers delicate
floral aromas, and flavors evoking pear, citrus and spice. An excellent choice
for poultry and seafood dishes. |
