Spring Dinner Menu
This is a great time of year to think about entertaining, celebrating the return of warmth and sunlight. It is a perfect time to blend together the last of the winter vegetables and tastes our bodies still crave with the harbingers of spring – those tantalizing promises of bounty yet to come. Here are some house favorite recipes for an early spring dinner to go with current release wines from Joseph Phelps Vineyards.
Begin with Garlic Shrimp, Catalan Style, served with Joseph Phelps 2005 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley for a lively start to your meal. Follow this with Straccetti di Manzo - Sliced Steak with Arugula, outstanding when paired with our 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley or with the 2003 Insignia. Side dishes are stars when you serve Onion Gratin and Carrots with Rosemary and Lemon. These are especially good with the Joseph Phelps 2003 Syrah.
